Joe Nichols enters rehab

Sunday, October 14, 2007 – Joe Nichols entered rehab for substance abuse issues, according to his web site.

Nichols had been slated to perform at the Big Texas Festival this weekend, but canceled.

"As Joe has alluded to in interviews over the past year, he has struggled with the issue of substance abuse," his web site said. "In order to become a healthier person and deal with long standing issues, he has entered into a rehabilitation program for consultation and treatment."

Nichols married Heather Singleton Sept. 9 and released his new album in August.
