Pope goes Platinum

– Cassadee Pope became the first solo female singer since Taylor Swift in 2006 togo Platinum with her debut single as "Wasting All These Tears" has achieved that with 1 million downloads.
Pope, who won season three of The Voice, returned to the show last summer to premiere the song. The song comes from her album "Frame by Frame."
Pope recently released a follow-up single, "I Wish I Could Break Your Heart."
This summer, she goes on tour with Tim McGraw.

Although Cassadee Pope's "Stage" album includes a few too many pop-country songs for comfort, it closes with a true winner. The ballad "I've Been Good," which turns a customary greeting response on its head, is a true show-stopper. She's been 'good,' yes; good at drinkin' whiskey and nearly everything except getting over a breakup. With its drinking song lyrical reference and sincere vocal sadness, Pope earns her wings as a fine country singer. »»»
Cassadee Pope's new release is officially called "Summer EP." But upon a full listen, one wonders if the working title may have been "The Road More Often Traveled." To say that the third season "The Voice" winner played it safe is a bit of an understatement. She penned three of the songs, including the obvious title track and the more impactful, autobiographical "Alien." Cassadee Pope gained a musical foothold thanks to winning "The Voice" in 2012 under the tutelage of Blake Shelton. What impact did TV have on the Florida native? One gets the sense that the songs (five written in part by Pope) were recorded with either the stage or radio in mind.
