Young placed on vocal rest, postpones shows
"For precautionary reasons, Chris Young's doctor has placed him on vocal rest for the remainder of the week, forcing the postponement of this weekend's shows," Young's Facebook page said.
The following Liquid Neon Tour shows with special guests Thomas Rhett and Joanna Smith will be rescheduled: Dec. 6 at the Von Braun Center Arena in Huntsville, Ala., Dec. 7 at the Johnny Mercer Theatre in Savannah, Ga. and Dec. 8 at the Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Auditorium in Chattanooga, Tenn.
"I hate to disappoint everybody but my voice is pretty ragged out," Young wrote in a statement to his fans. "Thanks for understanding, and I look forward to seeing y'all next year."
Young will start recording in early 2013 for his new album.
Tickets for the postponed shows will be honored at the make-up dates. If ticket holders are unable to attend the rescheduled dates, refunds are available at the point of purchase.
"We apologize for the inconvenience," Young's Facebook page said.
