Ashton Shepherd sings for NASCAR

Tuesday, April 12, 2011 – Ashton Shepherd will perform the national anthem at Aaron's 499 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race in Talladega, Ala. on Sunday, April 17. The race and national anthem will be televised nationally on FOX.

Shepherd's current single, Look It Up, from her upcoming sophomore album "Where Country Grows" has become the fastest-rising hit of her career. It currently sits at 21 on the Billboard country singles chart.

Ashton Shepherd showed a lot of promise on her debut, "Sounds So Good" and the single Takin' Off This Pain from 2008, but somehow nothing quite took off from the CD, and her career seemed stalled.
