McBride raises $72K for YMCA
Monday, June 15, 2009 – Martina McBride helped raise more than $72,000 for the YWCA in the Nashville area in a celebrity auction on Saturday.
McBride, Chris Young, Jason Michael Carroll, Bo Bice, Erika Dunlap and others participated in the auction. High ticket items included a signed Dolly Parton guitar that sold for $4,000, a one-of-a-kind Martina McBride signed quilt (made of rare tour shirts) sold for $3,600, two VIP tickets to any Keith Urban show sold for $2,600 and a framed McBride keepsake that includes a copy of the album Shine, album insert and handwritten Ride lyrics from songwriter Andrew Dorff sold for $3,500.
McBride included personal items, including the dress she wore while performing for Stevie Wonder earlier this year at the White House.
