Underwood, Rascal Flatts win at People's Choice awards
Thursday, January 8, 2009 – Carrie Underwood and Rascal Flatts were winners Wednesday at the 35th annual People's Choice awards.
Underwood took home best female singer over Alecia Keys and Rihanna. Underwood also won favorite country song for Last Name. Taylor Swift's Love Story and Rascal Flatts' Take Me There also were nominated.
Rascal Flatts won best group over Coldplay and Maroon 5.
Brad Paisley and Kenny Chesney were nominated for favorite male singer, but lost to Chris Brown.
Kid Rock won favorite rock song for All Summer Long, which also was a country hit. He beat out Coldplay's Viva La Vida and OneRepublic and Timbaland's Apologize.
