The Band Loula finds "Hometown in Heaven"

Wednesday, May 27, 2026 – The Band Loula will release a new single, "Hometown In Heaven" on Friday via Warner Nashville.

The song asks a simple question: what if heaven isn't just pearly gates, but a reflection of where you came from? What if heaven looks like your hometown, and what if home never really leaves you?

Lyrics include "I don't know how it can get any better / Than supper and sunsets at 7 / But I think that God has created a place / That looks like my hometown in heaven."

"Open hay fields, home cookin' after Sunday church, pickin' on the porch, and everyone we love who made us who we are today... just a few things about our hometown that are ingrained in who we are - and that begs the question, "how could it get any better than this?" But now, imagine it perfected in heaven... reunited with your loved ones you've lost. When we wrote 'Hometown in Heaven,' we painted that picture in our minds. We know that no matter who you are or where you're from, there's a seat prepared at the supper table and a sunset waiting for you in glory," the duo of lifelong friends Malachi Mills and Logan Simmons said in a statement.

The Band Loula hails from Lula, Ga. Following their debut EP, "Sweet Southern Summer," the band recently released the songs "Low" and "Mother's Mother."
