McNown sings of "Roses and Wolves"

Thursday, December 5, 2024 – Max McNown released his new song "Roses and Wolves" today.

The meditation on heartbreak features Hailey Whitters. A music video premieres today on YouTube at 3 p.m. eastern.

The single is part of his sophomore LP, "Night Diving," out Jan. 24, 2025 via Fugitive Recordings x The Orchard) This is McNown's followup to his debut album, "Wandering."

"The privilege of hindsight helps us accept that relationships don't always last forever," said McNown. "'Roses and Wolves' is written from a place of comfort in the realization that the world will keep spinning and heartbreak is part of life. Hailey Whitters' beautiful vocals created a unique energy and truly brought this song to life."

Whitters said, "I was so glad Max asked me to sing on this. He's an incredible artist and I'm so honored he asked me to be a part of such a great song."

The 23-year-old Oregon natives goes on a headlining tour in January and February with almost all of the shows already sold out.

CD review - I'm In Love Hailey Whitters smartly plays with words on the title track to this six-song EP. "He's in a Chevy/And I'm in love," she explains contrastingly. With its upfront mandolin part, the track nicely resembles Whitters' hit, "Everything She Ain't," which is reprised on this release - albeit more acoustically. It may not be as conceptual as Whitters' full-length, "Raised," was, but this smaller offering nevertheless covers familiar and enjoyable Whitters territory. ...
