Black Opry Records forms

Monday, February 12, 2024 – The creator of Black Opry, which pushed for greater prominence of Black musicians in country music, announced today that she was forming a label specifically for Black country artists.

Black Opry records was founded by Holly G., who created the Black Opry.

"What if i told y'all i launched a record label specifically for Black country music artists. 🤠 The future of country music is Black," said Holly G in a posting on X.

She did specify if the label had signed any artists.

The Black Opry Revue was created by Holly G. as a forum for artists to tour via the guitar pull format. Among the artists who performed on the Revue are Lizzy No, Grave Givertz, Tyler Bryant The Kentucky Gentlemen and Roberta Lea.
