Pardi announces first Xmas disc

Monday, October 2, 2023 – Jon Pardi announced today his first-ever Christmas album, "Merry Christmas From Jon Pardi," out Oct. 27.

Pardi will play his headline holiday show at Beacon Theatre in New York City on Dec. 16. Tickets for Pardi's "A Very Merry Christmas With Jon Pardi" show will be available for purchase starting tomorrow via Citi Presale and through the Pardi Animals Fan Club with general on-sale beginning Oct. 6 at 10 a.m. at LiveNation.com or JonPardi.com.

Produced by Pardi, Bart Butler and Ryan Gore, the 12-track holiday album releases the same week Pardi is set to become the first California native inducted into the Grand Ole Opry.

Pardi kicked off his Mr. Saturday Night Tour in Knoxville on Thursday, Pikeville, Ky. on Friday and Savannah, Ga. on Saturday. He next plays Hollywood, Fla. on Oct. 5.

Later, there is also a twin fiddle solo. These elements reveal how this track is a true country version. CD review - Mr. Saturday Night Jon Pardi's "Mr. Saturday Night" sounds as though most of its stories take place on the weekend at an idealized country honky tonk. Many of these drinking holes also feature swinging doors and jukeboxes. They don't seem like citified bars, but they perfectly fit Pardi's enjoyable neo-traditional song cycle. CD review - Heartache Medication Jon Pardi may sing about heartache medication with this collection of songs, but his focus on arrangements filled with traditional musical elements (fiddle, steel guitar and twangy electric guitar) is joyfully medicinal for anyone sickened by so much mainstream country music that lacks many (if not all) of these essential country instruments. These songs read as well as they sound, though. For example, the drinking song "Me and Jack" begins with a thumping, Johnny Cash-inspired country groove. ...
