Triple platinum for Carrie Underwood
Wednesday, April 5, 2006 – Carrie Underwood's "Some Hearts" was certified triple platinum for sales of 3 million units, becoming the fastest such certification for a female country debut in RIAA history. Now in its 20th week on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, "Some Hearts" has logged an 15 total weeks at the top.
Underwood also has enjoyed a hit single with "Jesus, Take the Wheel."
