Joe Nichols sets career best with "It Ain't No Crime"
Tuesday, January 8, 2008 – Joe Nichols's new single, "It Ain't No Crime," will enter the R&R charts at 44 on Mediabase and 45 on Billboard/R&R this week, making it the highest chart debut ever for Nichols.
The single enters the charts a week earlier than the official ad date of Jan. 14. Nichols premiered the single on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno last week (Jan. 3) and will perform it on the televised Opry Live this Saturday night (Jan. 12 on GAC TV).
The song is the second single from Nichols's well-received CD, "Real Things."

It's an instance of truth in advertising that Joe Nichols calls his new holiday album "A Traditional Christmas." Traditions are mostly wonderful things. Few would enjoy Christmas, for example, if it was celebrated completely differently every year. However, Nichols' new traditional album is a little too faithful to these familiar Christmas songs. It's as though he's being so careful, he won't open presents on Christmas morning for fear that he might mess up the wrapping paper. ...
