Marlowe looks back with "We Were Cowboys"

Friday, July 8, 2022 – Kameron Marlowe announced today the upcoming release of his debut album, "We Were Cowboys," on Aug. 26.

Produced by CMA and ACM Award-winning industry veteran Dann Huff and Brad Hill, the releases features 16 tracks. Marlowe had a hand in writing 12 of the songs.

"I've been working on this project for the better part of two years, and I've lived a lot of life in that time," said Marlowe. "This album encapsulates it all – nostalgia, romance, heartbreak, and everything in between. I couldn't be prouder of this project, and I'm incredibly excited for fans to get a deeper look at who I am through these songs."

The title track, "We Were Cowboys," is available now. Written by Marlowe, Wyatt McCubbin and chart-topping singer/songwriter Tyler Farr, the song is about the confidence and fervor for life that comes with childhood. The song includes the lines:
"We were cowboys
Runnin' like wild horses that couldn't be tamed
We were cowboys
Didn't know nothin' but we knew everything"

With a self-titled EP out, Marlowe has had gained some attention with the songs "Steady Heart" and "Giving You Up." After opening stints for Brad Paisley and Riley Green, he will open on dates for Morgan Wallen's Dangerous Tour.
