Dan + Shay are "Speechless"

Tuesday, July 24, 2018 – Dan + Shay are releasing "Speechless" as the new single from their self-titled release.

The song, which follows the big hit "Tequila" from Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, goes for adds Aug. 6

"Speechless is definitely inspired by our wives," said Shay Mooney. "It's very cool to release songs that are not only stories of our lives, but also very personal experiences. Seeing our wives for the first time in their wedding dresses was absolutely an unforgettable, and we talked about that while writing the song and bringing that moment to life in this song."

The duo released their new album, which was co-produced by Smyers and Scott Hendricks, in June.

Dan + Shay will play on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on July 31.

The duo is on the road with Rascal Flatts for their "Back To Us" Tour through the summer and will join Chris Young for the fall leg of his "Losing Sleep" Tour in October.

They began writing songs together a little over three years ago, already have a hit album ("Where It All Began") and now have another tiger by the tail. Dan + Shay know a hook, can write songs and have identified a sweet spot in the formula of country music success. ...
CD review - Where It All Began Dan + Shay debut with a likable disc, if your bent is the Rascal Flatts world of country. In fact, Dan Smyers of Pittsburgh and Shay Mooney of Arkansas come mighty close to mimicking the longstanding country stars with the biggest difference that they're a duo and Rascal Flatts is a trio. Perhaps the similarities ought come as no surprise because the duo started writing the day after they met in Nashville in December 2012. Guess who placed their first song on hold? Rascal Flatts. ...
