Carri Lee & the Saddle-ites

Reviewed by Stuart Munro

In spite of what the name of the band suggests (and Cari Lee's fabulous cowgirl outfits, too), the Saddle-ites single is a lot closer to straight-up, well-executed rockabilly than hillbilly or western swing. "Church Bell Boogie" brushes up agin' the country with a few straight steel flourishes, but "Rockin' All Night Long" drops all backwoods pretense. (P.O. Box 191533, San Francisco, CA 94119)
