So good the first time...

Great American Country apparently was so enamored with the American Country Awards show from Monday night that it's airing it this Sunday.
The second annual awards show will re-air Saturday, Dec. 17 at 10 p.m. Eastern on GAC. Jason Aldean was the big winner on the Fox broadcast, grabbing six guitars - that's what they awarded the winners.
As I indicated in my last posting, I wouldn't exactly spending the time to watch this again. I give the organizers a lot of credit for keeping the show to two hours instead of stretching and padding the evening.
And the performances themselves lacked the fluff and "artistry" of the Country Music Awards show (that's a good thing, folks. The CMAs are way too over the top for my taste. It's more theatre than music)
If you didn't see it on Monday, check out the performance of Blake Shelton in particular. The guy jokes around a lot, gets a bit bawdy, but not on this night. He was super serious, maybe because his dad was in the hospital. If this is how he'd be in concert this winter, bring it on.
But remember that these awards shows aren't the be all and end all. I mean, how does Taylor Swift not win awards when the fans vote? I thought she had the biggest fan base out there, but don't tell that to Carrie Underwood. (That's not knocking Carrie or her fans. It's just that Swift is numero uno when it comes to the number of fans).
Try to sit back and enjoy it, but remember this was Vegas!
