Wedding bells loom for Paltrow, McGraw, Hill, Martin offspring? (NOT!)

Jeffrey Remz  |  December 15, 2010

It's sometimes hard to take some of these articles about the stars of music and film all that seriously. To wit, a story I just read at People.com today about Tim McGraw and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Of course, they are in the upcoming movie, "Country Strong" together, which opens in limited release Dec. 22 and nationwide Jan. 7. Paltrow spent a chunk of time in Nashville filming the movie and apparently got to be good friends with McGraw and Faith Hill.

Jessica Wedemeyer writes what all inquiring minds want to know - what about a budding romance between Moses (Martin I presume is the surname), all of four years old, and Audrey (McGraw?) who's now a whopping nine.

Paltrow supposedly predicted that the two would marry one day. At least that's what she told Hill who interviewed her for InStyle's January issue (according to the People.com, Paltrow said, "Moses ... we might really become family when he marries Audrey. My son is in love with your daughter") Presumably she was joking. People quoted McGraw as saying, "That's what I hear. That's what I hear. Well, he better make a lot of money."

Not sure why either one needs a lot of money. I have a feeling both are doing just fine as is, although it would not be a surprise if the McGraw/Hill clan is told they have to work to earn their keep. That's just a guess since I have never talked with any of these folks.

McGraw was out in La La land for a special screening of "Country Strong." He said Paltrow and his wife gal-palled around. "They just enjoyed each other," McGraw told people. "The kids really had a great time, and we all had a lot in common."

McGraw apparently was charged with babysitting. "Faith and Gwyneth went out and partied. I didn't get to go out...I was tired. So they went out. They had a good time."

Music may make interesting bedfellows, but leave the kids out of this.
