Americana fest hosts excellent line-up

The Americana Music Association fest is a few months away, but for those going, the roster of entertainers is quite impressive.
The AMA announced this week that the following folks would be showing up: Emmylou Harris, Avett Brothers, Rodney Crowell, Wanda Jackson, Rosanne Cash and Patty Griffin. Add to that list Sam Bush, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Ryan Bingham, Corb Lund, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Joe Pug and Will Kimbrough.
That's one solid list of players for the Sept. 9 event, which is part of the big event on the Americana music calendar in Nashville.
It's particularly exciting to have Cash play the event (not to mention her ex-husband being there). This is a creme de la creme kind of event - the awards show on the Thursday night of the festival Jim Lauderdale wants again hosts. He's a real nice guy, not to mention a fine songwriter and solid singer. But this year, Jim, how about staying away for those famous words "That's Americana"?
Kudos to the AMA for putting together a solid show - at least on paper!
