Taylor Swift's legion of fans gets bigger, literally

Jeffrey Remz  |  March 26, 2010

Taylor Swift's legions of fans seems to be getting bigger and bigger. Literally.

Now,the singer, who tends to have young females go for her, can count St. Mary's basketball superstar Omar Sanhan among them.

The 6-11 senior - he's only a foot or so taller than the very tall Swift - has been the darling of the NCAA March Madness tourney, playing extremely well and being even more quotable.

The California native has been an unabashed supporter of Swift. He told the New York Times, "Are those cameras on? I love you, Taylor. You should call me. I'm a huge Taylor Swift fan. I listen to her before games. People think it's weird. But there is so much emotion and excitement before these games, it just kind of slows you down. And it keeps me mellow, because I'm just like a time bomb waiting to go off. So it keeps me mellow. Taylor, I feel like she's singing to me sometimes."

Samhan then smiled before continuing, "I love her, and I'm going to keep listening to her."

No word if Swift wants to go one-on-one against Samhan.
