Music makes strange bedfellows, doesn't it Martina?

Jeffrey Remz  |  February 24, 2010

Music can make for some strange bedfellows. You just never know who will make music together.

"I want to bring out very own favorite bad ass," said Martina McBride to the throngs at a Detroit gig on Feb. 18. Out stepped the Kid in a black hat, sitting down next to McBride on a stool singing Picture.

The two did not stop there though, as they also sang All Summer Long, a hit for Kid Rock on the country charts.

This was not the first time the Kid and McBride performed together in public. They teamed up at the CMA Music Fest in 2009 in Nashville to sing Picture.

Guess you have to give Kid Rock and McBride credit. It seems like a lot of singers get together in these odd one-offs, and that's about the end of that collaboration. McBride does quite sing with the same grit of Sheryl Crow, whose version with the Kid was the hit (he also did a recorded version with Allison Moorer).

Based on the video, it looks like the McBride show as the place to be last week.
