Cyrus, FIREROSE make "Plans"

Friday, August 11, 2023 – Billy Ray Cyrus and FIREROSE dropped their Diane Warren-penned power ballad, "Plans," today.

Released through Damon Elliott's Kind Music Group, Cyrus and FIREROSE, who are engaged, will premiere the song at the Grand Ole Opry this evening. People.com exclusively premiered the music video for "Plans, " which "features FIREROSE walking through a magical door in an enchanted forest to meet Billy Ray Cyrus in a meadow. Together, the duo wear in what appears to be wedding attire — Cyrus in an edgy spin on a tux and FIREROSE in a glimmering gown — and duet in front of a fireplace while rose petals cascade down."

"FIREROSE is one of the best lyricists I know and actually takes great pride in only recording songs that she has written. So when she came to me one day so excited about a song she'd just received from another songwriter, needless to say, I was quite surprised. Then I heard the name of the writer, and she played me the demo, and I realized her exuberance was justified. 'Plans' by Diane Warren – one of the most legendary songwriters of our time. When FIREROSE and I collaborate in our diverse musical styles, it makes a unique blend of pop-country. They say the rest is history, but in this case... it's the future," Cyrus said.

"It's very meaningful for me to be singing this powerful love song with Billy. Diane Warren's unparalleled talent has always inspired me tremendously as a songwriter. When she sent me 'Plans,' I immediately knew it was made for us," FIREROSE said.

"Billy Ray Cyrus and FIREROSE have made a beautiful record that I have a feeling we will be hearing at weddings for years to come," Warren said.

"From the moment I heard FIREROSE and Cyrus vocalize together over the prolific lyric of the incomparable Diane Warren, I knew I had to be a part of what is destined to be an instant timeless true love anthem," Elliott said, CEO of Kind Music Group.

The Australian-born singer/songwriter's previous radio hit, "New Day," ascended to the Top 20 of the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart.

After achieving immediate global stardom with 1992's iconic breakout hit "Achy Breaky Heart," he spent years starring in his uber-famous daughter's Disney juggernaut, "Hannah Montana." Now he has two Grammys for the duet with Lil Nas X on "Old Town Road" On its heels is this incredibly brief three-song EP "The Singin' Hills Sessions Vol. 1 Sunset. ...
CD review - The SnakeDoctor Circus If one were filling a time capsule with predictions for the future of music some 20-plus years ago at the height of the "Achy Breaky Heart" fame of Billy Ray Cyrus, it's doubtful Cyrus' name would have made the list. Yet building on the success of that line dancing ear worm, Cyrus has carved out quite a career for himself, releasing over 15 albums and garnering acting success through television gigs like "Doc" and "Hannah Montana," not to mention his recent ...
CD review - Thin Line Originally conceived of as a project to honor his favorite songwriters and artists, Billy Ray Cyrus found his latest outing taking on a life of its own. Infused with plenty of classic country sentiments and songs written and made popular by artists like Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, and Waylon Jennings, among many others, the record shimmers with the impact and influence of those same artists as Cyrus showcases the music that he loves while making it his own.
