CMA visits Twin Cities with songwriters series

Tuesday, October 15, 2019 – The Country Music Association's CMA Songwriters Series will hit the Twin Cities in November with featuring Old Dominion's Matthew Ramsey, Trevor Rosen and Brad Tursi in addition to CMA Award-winning songwriters Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne.

The series , coming to the Ordway Music Theater in St. Paul, Minn. on Wednesday, Nov. 20 hosts a performers telling stories behind the songs and performing them.

Tickets for the performance are $25 and go on sale Friday, Oct. 18 at 10 a.m. central through The Ordway and CMAsongwritersseries.com.

While in the Twin Cities area, the CMA Foundation and U.S. Bank will visit with music students and representatives from Columbia Heights Public Schools, where an investment is being made to support its music and arts initiatives.

Previous CMA Songwriters Series visits this year include Albuquerque, N.M., Charlotte, N.C., Nashville and Phoenix.

McAnally has more than 40 number 1 songs to his credit, three Grammy and ACM awards and a CMA Award. McAnally's compositions have been recorded by Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Kelly Clarkson, Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban, and Kacey Musgraves He has produced Sam Hunt, Midland, Musgraves and Old Dominion.

Osborne has 18 chart topping country songs to his credit. Originally from Kentucky, Osborne moved to Nashville, earning his first number one with Chesney's "Come Over" in 2012. Hunt, Musgraves, Lambert and Urban have recorded his songs. His most recent number one was Michael Ray's "One That Got Away," co-written by Rosen, Ramsey and Jesse Frasure. He also recently co-produced and co-wrote multiple tracks on Midland's new album, "Let It Roll," and Old Dominion's forthcoming self-titled album.
