Social media re: ACMs skyrockets
Monday, April 2, 2012 – Social media during the Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday was three times that of the previous year, according to Blue Fin Labs. Activity peaked during Taylor Swift's win for Entertainer of the Year.
Blake Lambert's award Male Vocalist of the Year was the second biggest moment.
A total of 676,000 social media comments, an increase of 331 percent from last year, were recorded, according to Bluefin Labs. The firm measures social media activity by tracking key words at Twitter and Facebook.

During the televised show, tweets from people were sometimes displayed on the screen.
Social media was slow in the hour leading up to the telecast and again in the hour afterwards.
