Billy Ray Cyrus, performs, stars in new movie
Monday, November 23, 2009 – Billy Ray Cyrus will star in the Hallmark Channel original movie "Christmas in Canaan" which airs Saturday Dec. 12 at 8 p.m. eastern. Cyrus wrote and performed the new original song, We'll Get By Somehow (We Always Do) for the movie.
Hallmark Channel is debuting the music video for this song, exclusively, on the Nov. 28 during the premiere of the Hallmark Channel original movie "The National Tree.
Hallmark Channel's Facebook page will premiere the song, first and exclusively on Nov. 24, the day after its relaunch. On Nov 25, the stream of the song is available to all interested radio stations, websites and blogs by visiting Hallmark Channel's Facebook page. From Nov. 25-27, Hallmark Channel is giving the MP3 of the song away free on its Facebook page.

Billy Ray Cyrus wants his mullet back. He also wants Dale Earnhardt back. And Lynyrd Skynyrd. And classic country music. His latest is filled to the brim with nostalgia and longing for simpler times.

Here it is the top 30 for 2009. This isn't authoritative in case you thought otherwise. It's just one man's opinion about his favorite CDs of the year, which seemed a cut above everything else. It was incredibly hard figuring out a number one CD for the year between the Avett Brothers, Brad Paisley and George Strait. All three were great albums from different perspectives of country and roots music, and at any one time over the past few days, each was my favorite. Come back in a few days, and who knows? There are two versions of Josh Turner's fourth CD - standard and deluxe. The deluxe has the same 11 tracks as the standard, plus (among other goodies) live versions of previously released songs Long Black Train and Your Man .
