McEntire, Aldean continue topping Billboard country charts

Thursday, September 3, 2009 – Reba McEntire stayed number 1 on the Billboard country album chart with "Keep On Loving You," while Jason Aldean's Big Green Tractor was first again on the song chart for the week ending Sept. 12.

On the album chart, George Strait was second with "Twang," Taylor Swift third with "Fearless," the "NOW That's What I Call Country" compilation fourth and "Hannah Montana: The Movie" was down two to fifth. New band Love And Theft debuted in 10th with their self-titled disc. Willie Nelson debuted in 14th with" American Classic."

Jack Ingram debuted in 21st with "Big Dreams & High Hopes."

Randy Houser was second on the song chart with Boots On, up two. Rascal Flatts was down one to third with Summer Nights while George Strait was up one to fourth with Living for the Night. Justin Moore was fifth, up two, with Small Town USA. Other movers in the top 10 were Toby Keith's American Ride, up two to seventh, Blake Shelton's I'll Just Hold On, up two to eighth, and Keith Urban's Only You Can Love Me This Way, up three to ninth.

Brad Paisley was at 11, climbing 3 spots, with the second single from "American Saturday Night," Welcome to the Future. Chris Young continued moving towards the top with Getting You Home (The Black Dress Song), at 12, up 4. Luke Bryan was at 24, up 3, with Do I. Brooks & Dunn's Honky Tonk Stomp with ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons was at 26, up 4. Dierks Bentley was at 29, up 5, with I Wanna Make You Close Your Eyes.

On the overall top 200 chart, McEntire is 6th, Strait 7th, Swift 9th, "Now" 10th and "Hannah Montana" 11th.
