Griffth, NGDB, Malo, Greencards join Americana line-up
Saturday, August 15, 2009 – Nanci Griffith, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Raul Malo and The Greencards were added to the line-up for the upcoming 2009 Americana Music Festival in Nashville, Sept. 16-19.
Griffith will play as part of an in the round along with Elizabeth Cook and Mary Gauthier on Saturday, Sept. 19 at the Station Inn. The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band will make their first appearance at the Americana festival with a performance at the Cannery Ballroom on Friday, Sept. 18. Malo appears on Thursday, Sept. 17 at 3rd & Lindsley. The 2005 Americana Emerging Artist of the Year, the Greencards, will perform at 3rd & Lindsley on Wednesday Sept. 16, the festival's opening night.

Concert Review: Eilen Jewell wears her musical hats well –
Eilen Jewell wears a lot of musical hats. The Idaho native, who now lives in Boston, fronts the Eilen (ee-lin) Jewell Band, a pretty much traditional country band. She's a member the Sacred Shakers, an octet doing gospel country with a country beat. And she has yet another project, Butcher Holler, covering Loretta Lynn songs.... »»»
