Rice goes deluxe

Tuesday, February 12, 2019 – Chase Rice will go the deluxe route when he is out with "Lambs & Lions (Worldwide Deluxe)," on March 1.

"Our European fans blew us away when they sold out our first overseas tour two years ago, and they haven't let up since," said Rice. "We spent the end of 2018 in London, Manchester, Glasgow and Birmingham - and they sang every word to our album cuts, especially 'On Tonight' off Lambs & Lions. That reaction is what inspired us to create a special U.K. version of the song, and then we asked ourselves, 'why stop there?' I'm excited that we can get this new music in their hands right before we head back over for C2C in March."

"Lambs & Lions (Worldwide Deluxe)" features the original album's 10 tracks, including U.S. Top 20 lead single "Three Chords & The Truth" as well as current Top 20 hit "Eyes On You." The deluxe edition also contains re-imagined versions of "On Tonight" and "Eyes On You" as well as new music with "Love Me Like You Don't" and "25 Wexford St.," which takes its name from an Irish pub's address.

The track listing is:

Lambs & Lions CD review - Lambs & Lions
As counterintuitive as it might seem, Chase Rice and the late George Michael have a lot in common. Both were their respective label's golden boy, and when each artist tried to do something different, they fell out of favor. In Rice's case, he sensed the demise of bro country and wanted to shift gears. Columbia Nashville preferred to have him stay the course. Rice said, "I was fed up with trying, whether that was trying to be something I'm not, trying to make music that people »»»
Ignite the Night CD review - Ignite the Night
Chase Rice lets listeners know exactly what to expect on his debut right from the opening sounds of first single and opener, the hit "Ready Set Roll." Electronic beats and a robotic voice start off a bro country track with plenty of hip hop flourishes and simplistic lyrics like "ready set let's ride, get your little fine ass on the step, shimmy up inside." Rice was a co-writer on Florida Georgia Line's smash hit "Cruise," which is also a fine indicator of »»»
Editorial: Walking the talk – When names like Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Waylon and the Hag are invoked, you're talking hard core country. These are the touchstones of country , the guys who made country music what it was and still is (or maybe can be). When these folks would sing about being down-and-out and the rough-and-tumble, they knew of what they were singing about. Fast forward a few years to the country singers of today. »»»
Concert Review: Lowe stands the test of time – The enduringly cool and dapper Nick Lowe spelled it out for the fans three songs in. Concert Review: Rich, Anderson, Denning pull it – Three diverse artists performing under the country rubric, who are trying to gain a foothold in the field, joined forces for a good old-fashioned guitar pull. And that may have been the best way for Tyler Rich, Abby Anderson and Travis Denning to showcase their wares. Rich has enjoyed the most commercial success of the three with his single "The... »»»
