Ramsey releases two new tracks
Monday, July 2, 2018
– Mason Ramsey, the 11-year-old singer from Indiana, released two new tracks, "The Way I See It" and Hank Williams Sr.'s "Jambalaya (On The Bayou)."
"The Way I See It" was written by veteran songwriters Rodney Clawson, Josh Kear and Corey Crowder.
This is the second time that Ramsey covered Williams. He recently recorded "Lovesick Blues," which jump started Ramsey's career after he was discovered performing it in an aisle of his local Walmart in Harrisburg, Ill.
Ramsey also released "Famous," penned by Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line, Sarah Buxton, Canaan Smith and Crowder. The song has sold more than 300,000 copies.
Ramsey has played CMA Fest, iHeartCountry Festival, Stagecoach, and Coachella. He will support Florida Georgia Line during its five-nights-only residency in Las Vegas on Dec. 1, 5, 7, 8 and 11.

When considering Mason Ramsey, one is reminded of the idea that big things come in small packages. At 11, the Golconda, Ill. native has gained a far bigger audience than the nearby WalMart where a video of him singing and yodeling through Hank Sr. "Lovesick Blues" went viral big time. He parlayed that into a six-song EP with a heavy emphasis on Williams.
Typically decked out in a cowboy hat (that sets him apart right there from most other country acts today), Ramsey sounds about his age. »»»

Dierks Bentley's Valentine's Day "Burning Man World 2019 Tour" stop celebrated his album, "The Mountain," one of his best full-lengths to date. That album's so good, in fact, one was left wishing he'd included even more of it in his setlist. Those album tracks he did sing, though, stood up well among his many hits.... »»»

Suffice it to say that the past has always loomed large throughout Chip Taylor's career. That's all the more obvious if only for the fact that Taylor wrote some of the biggest pop hits of the '60s, "Wild Thing"... »»»
Dan Tyminski (known simply as "Tyminski" on his 2017 release "Southern Gothic") has traditional music roots and unassailable bluegrass street cred especially given his membership in Alison Krauss' Union Station. Bela Fleck and Abigail Washburn have powerhouse individual talents; each has followed an estimable career path to where they find themselves today: making complex, but spare, records, writing music together and touring with their son Juno. Their new release, "Echoes In The Valley" features mostly songs written by Fleck and Washburn, banjos, Washburn's strong vocals and very little else.... »»»
