Bones wins ACM award

– Bobby Bones was among the radio winners from the Academy of Country Music radio award winners announced today.
Though not part of the telecast, the awards will be presented during the annual Radio Winners Reception on Saturday, April 14, the day prior to the broadcast of the 53rd ACM Awards from Las Vegas.
This marks the third ACM National On-Air Personality of the Year win for The Bobby Bones Show. The show previously won the award in 2013 and 2015. This also was the second win for Steve & Geoff in the Medium Market On-Air Personality of the Year category and11th win for WSIX-FM, seventh win for WUSY-FM, and second win for KTTS-FM in Radio Station of the Year categories.

The Critics Give It 5 Stars
There have been a few country disc jockeys who have gone onto have successful careers as country singers - Bill Anderson and John Conlee being probably the most famous examples - but judging by this CD, Bobby Bones is unlikely to join that contingent. That doesn't mean this album is a failure. It just means that this feels more like a vanity project or an extended prank on his syndicated radio show rather than a shot at stardom, even the marginalized stardom of humorous or parodic country »»»

These are the touchstones of country , the guys who made country music what it was and still is (or maybe can be). Concert Review: White makes hurting sound real good
John Paul White entitled his new disc, "The Hurting Kind." But there is no hurting of any sort on White's performance - well maybe only when considering the subject matter - showcasing his vocals and a bevy of quality songs.
