Big Machine signs new artist

Thursday, February 22, 2018 – Big Machine Label Group signed Alabama artist Riley Greene to its label, it was announced Thursday.

"As the industry shifts and musical tastes change, we will continue to stay on the cutting edge of how artists connect and break through" said label head Scott Borchetta. "Understanding all media and opening new doors is essential. Riley has great natural instincts on how to connect in our multimedia world and is perfectly suited to take full advantage of BMLG's entire platform."

"I signed with BMLG Records because they truly love my music," said Greene. "They are very passionate about what they do and understand what I'm trying to do. I felt like I was a part of their team as soon as I met (label Executive Vice President) Jimmy Harnen. His love for music and the artist is obvious. I'm confident they will be able to get my message out to country music fans everywhere."

Greene has toured in the southeast over the past five years. Greene also has started in his own hunting show on DirtRoadTV.

With the ever cool country traditionalist Dwight Yoakam, the country with some rock and blues and rabble rousing of Steve Earle thrown in and the... »»»
Concert Review: Alvin, Gilmore fortunately get together – Dave Alvin and Jimmie Dale Gilmore had known each other for decades, but it wasn't until last year that they toured together in a guitar pull setting. What started as a small Texas tour mushroomed into points east and west and eventually the release earlier this month of their blues-based disc, "Downey to Lubbock." And now we have the... »»»

Tyminski goes dark Dan Tyminski (known simply as "Tyminski" on his 2017 release "Southern Gothic") has traditional music roots and unassailable bluegrass street cred especially given his membership in Alison Krauss' Union Station. He is also a powerful songwriter and has been writing songs for himself and others for years now.... »»»
