Harmon releases EP

Friday, December 9, 2016 – Trent Harmon, of American Idol-winning fame, releases his debut EP today. He recorded the five-song project with songwriter/producer Jimmy Robbins and producer Julian Raymond. The release from the Mississippi native is layered with country soul-infused original tracks like his Season XV coronation song "Falling" and the single "There's A Girl" in addition to renditions of hits from ZZ Top ("Sharp Dressed Man"), Justin Timberlake ("Drink You Away") and Sia ("Chandelier").
Editorial: Walking the talk – When names like Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Waylon and the Hag are invoked, you're talking hard core country. These are the touchstones of country , the guys who made country music what it was and still is (or maybe can be). Concert Review: The Head and the Heart go beyond the nah nahs – "Nah nah," "la la" and "Wee oh" populated a number of songs from The Head and the Heart. Yes, the Seattle-based band does pen a good amount of sing-along songs that were clearly designed that way.
