CMA Music Fest gets underway

Tuesday, June 9, 2015 – The annual rite of June - the CMA Country Music Fest - officially launched Wednesday with the CMA Fest Opening Ceremonies hosted by Chris Young.

Among the artists playing during the day, a limited opening of sorts, was Frankie Ballard< William Michael Morgan and Aubrie Sellers.

The full slate of activities started Thursday morning with Jake Owen riding a boat to the stage and kicking off the fest in downtown Nashville.

A nightly series of concerts will be held at Nissan Stadium, headlined by Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan, plus a meet and greet with various artists.

The event features 11 stages with more than 400 artists and 100 hours of music.
