Bates ties knot

Wednesday, May 6, 2015 – What started as a songwriting session for Greg Bates ended in marriage over the weekend.

Bates, who had a hit single himself with "Did It For the Girl," met fellow singer-songwriter Shelley Skidmore, two years ago at a songwriting sessioin.

Skidmore's songs "Done Runnin'" and "I've Got You And You've Got Me" have been aired on ABC's primetime series "Nashville."
