Wednesday, March 4, 2015
– The duo Striking Matches released the title track of their debut disc, "Nothing But the Silence," as instant track.
"It's the last song we wrote for the record right before heading into the studio with T Bone," the group said on its web site, referring to producer T Bone Burnett.
The song is the fourth to be released with one more coming next Tuesday.
Sarah Zimmermann and Justin Davis comprise Striking Matches, which combines country, rock and blues.
Striking Matches songs "When the Right One Comes Along" and "Hanging on a Lie"
were featured on the show "Nashville." "Hanging..." is the single from the forthcoming CD. The two met at a class in Nashville, where both had moved in 2007 to attend Belmont University.
