Eli Young Band joins Jagermeister

Monday, May 5, 2014 – Eli Young Band will join the Jagermeister's Ultimate Summer of Music tour along with rock band Fall Out Boy and DJ Paul Oakenfold.

Jagermeister's Ultimate Summer of Music kicks off on May 16 and includes more than 30 concerts nationwide through September.

"Jagermeister has been supporting musicians of all genres for more than 20 years," said Cliff Rigano, Director of Music Marketing for Jagermeister at Sidney Frank Importing Co. "We've always prided ourselves on working with some of the most well respected acts in the industry, but we have yet to bring three top acts from three different genres together. Each of these artists consistently deliver legendary, high-energy shows that we know our diverse consumer set will love. Simply put: Jagermeister makes music sound better."

This year marks the first time the brand has taken a multi-genre approach to the tour. Country artist Rick Monroe and comic Jim Florentine will emcee select dates.

"Jager has been associated with clubs and club music for many years. It is a very popular drink in my community and I'm very happy to be working alongside them on this tour," said Oakenfold. "Since we've been known to take shots on stage, we thought, Jager and EYB is a no brainer," said Mike Eli, lead singer of Eli Young Band. "Count us in!" "We're stoked to be a part of Jager's Summer of Music program. We can't wait to get out there with New Politics this summer and give big thanks to Jagermeister for supporting us," adds Fall Out Boy.

This is Eli Young Band - Greatest Hits CD review - This is Eli Young Band - Greatest Hits
The Eli Young Band has reached a career milestone of sorts with the release of their "This is Eli Young Band: Greatest Hits" album. EYB has an impressive portfolio of music to date, with music spanning from the band's genesis with Mike Eli and James Young joining forces as Eli & Young while students at the University of North Texas. Rounding out the band with members Jon Jones and Chris Thompson, ELB was born and released its first album "Level" in 2005. »»»
Fingerprints CD review - Fingerprints
Eli Young Band confused, alienated and even lost some of its fans with the 2015 release of a fully slicked up pop EP; "Turn It On." "The fans wanted another record that was the sound and the kind of songs that were the old-school Eli Young Band" said lead singer Mike Eli. They have responded with "Fingerprints," their first full length album since 2014's "10,000 Towns." Though clearly not as blatantly pop as the downright danceable EP, »»»
Turn It On CD review - Turn It On
With the release of "Turn It On," the Eli Young Band brings new music about girls, love, and...disco. Singer Mike Eli, who co-wrote all four songs, is in fine voice, solidifying the EYB sound. The title cut, written with co-founder James Young, with its strong beat and up-front vocals, is tailor-made for listening while driving fast. With its "driving" beat and sing-along chorus, speeding tickets may increase. "Plastic" is about appreciating a girl who is »»»
Editorial: Walking the talk – When names like Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Waylon and the Hag are invoked, you're talking hard core country. These are the touchstones of country , the guys who made country music what it was and still is (or maybe can be). When these folks would sing about being down-and-out and the rough-and-tumble, they knew of what they were singing about. Fast forward a few years to the country singers of today. »»»
Concert Review: Sweeney maintains her musical integrity – Sunny Sweeney has gone the big label route and even earned a hit with "From a Table Away," but truth be told, she's better off without the baggage of the bigs, especially given the consistent quality and musical vision that was so clearly and admirably on display on this evening. When the East Texas native started her career, she was... »»»
Concert Review: Live, Shelley proves she's the real deal – After the concert, Joan Shelley was greeted by a fan at the near sold-out club who had never seen her before. The first timer told the Louisville, Ky.-based folk-oriented singer that she wanted to see for herself if Shelley's vocals were the real deal live. The fan walked away mighty impressed -based on her comments - and it was easy to see why.... »»»
