Pope goes Platinum

– Cassadee Pope became the first solo female singer since Taylor Swift in 2006 togo Platinum with her debut single as "Wasting All These Tears" has achieved that with 1 million downloads.
Pope, who won season three of The Voice, returned to the show last summer to premiere the song. The song comes from her album "Frame by Frame."
Pope recently released a follow-up single, "I Wish I Could Break Your Heart."
This summer, she goes on tour with Tim McGraw.

Cassadee Pope's new release is officially called "Summer EP." But upon a full listen, one wonders if the working title may have been "The Road More Often Traveled." To say that the third season "The Voice" winner played it safe is a bit of an understatement. She penned three of the songs, including the obvious title track and the more impactful, autobiographical "Alien."
