Tim McGraw, Dierks Bentley, Gary Allan, Lyle Lovett headline Big State Festival

Thursday, May 24, 2007 – The first ever Big State Festival will be held on Texas in October, featuring Tim McGraw, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Lyle Lovett and his Large Band, Trace Adkins, Dierks Bentley, Gary Allan, and 40 other acts in a 2-day event launched by the producers of Austin City Limits Music Festival.

The Big State Festival, slated for Oct. 13-14 will be held at Texas World Speedway in Bryan-College Station. The talent, which totals around 50 acts on 5 stages, also includes Miranda Lambert, The Wreckers, Los Lonely Boys, Jack Ingram and Robert Earl Keen. Many of thea cts on the bill are Texas acts.

"I am really excited about Big State," said Bentley. "I know these guys can put on a great show not only for the fans, but for the artists, too."

Other acts on the bill are Drive-By Truckers, The Flatlanders, Billy Currington, Kevin Fowler, Eli Young Band, Craig Morgan, Heartland, Reckless Kelly, Eric Church, Leon Russell, Charlie Louvin, Willis Alan Ramsey, Kelly Willis, The Geezinslaws, Ashley Ray, The Wrights, Matt Caldwell, Whiskey Brown, Mice & Rifles, Monte Warden, Rodney Hayden, The Weary Boys, Drew Kennedy, Sunny Sweeney, Granger Smith, Kevin Gordon, Colin Gilmore, The Gougers, Mark McKinney and The Ginn Sisters.

Fans also will be treated to real stock car racing on the 1.8 mile oval, one of the biggest prize purse Barbecue Showdowns in the nation, green grass, a Roadhouse Sports Bar, the Little State kids space and food.

Tickets go on sale June 5, and can be purchased at www.bigstatefestival.com or by calling 888-512-SHOW. The Earlybird tickets are $75 for a 2-day pass.
