Helton takes ACM award

Wednesday, February 15, 2012 – Lon Helton was one of the winners announced Wednesday for the Academy of Country Music radio awards.

Helton won the award for National On-Air Personality. Helton hosts CMT Country Countdown USA.

Major Market Personality: Kelly Ford & Rider, KYGO/Denver.

Large Market Personality: Big Dave & Chelsie, WUBE/Cincinnati.

Medium Market Personality: Steve & Geoff, KUZZ/Bakersfield; Roger, Tom & Melissa, WPCV/Lakeland, Fla. (tie).

Small Market Personality: Bill Barrett, Tim Fox & Tracy Berry, KKNU/Eugene, Ore.

Major Market Staton: WQYK/Tampa.

Large Market Station: WQDR/Raleigh.

Medium Market Station: KATM/Modesto, Cal.

Small Market Station: WUSY/Chattanooga, Tenn.

The ACMs will be held April 1 in Las Vegas.
