Jack White, Lucinda Williams added as AMA presenters

– Jack White and Lucinda Williams were added to the list of presenters at the Americana Music Honors and Awards Show on Sept. 9 at the Ryman in Nashville.
2010 Spirit of Americana Recipient Mary Chapin Carpenter, Grace Potter, Martie Maguire and Emily Robison (of The Courtyard Hounds & Dixie Chicks) and John Oates (of Hall & Oates) also will appear as presenters of awards.
2010 Lifetime Recipient for Songwriting John Mellencamp will kick off the show with a live performance. Other playing include Emmylou Harris, The Avett Brothers, Rodney Crowell, Wanda Jackson, Rosanne Cash, Patty Griffin, Sam Bush, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Ryan Bingham, Corb Lund, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Joe Pug, Sarah Jarosz and Will Kimbrough.
Each year, the honors and award show features a surprise guest performer, which also will occur this year.
Individual tickets are $55 and are available via Ticketmaster, Ryman.com or in-person at the Ryman box office.
Jim Lauderdale will continue his tenure as master of ceremonies, joined for another year by Buddy Miller and his All-Star house band featuring Don Was, Aaron Embry, 2010 Lifetime Achievement Honoree Greg Liesz and Bryan Owings.
