Country Thunder Texas shows canceled

Sunday, May 25, 2008 – The Country Thunder USA festival slated to host Tim McGraw and Pat Green in Texas next weekend was cancelled due to poor ticket sales. The decision had no effect on a sister festival slated for July 16-19 in Wisconsin with Taylor Swift, Sugarland, Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley, Miranda Lambert and Sara Evans.

The Texas event, scheduled for May 29-June 1, also included Kellie Pickler and Joe Nichols along with Underwood and Bentley. Last year's event was affected by heavy downpours which led to one day being canceled.

A third Country Thunder event already occurred in April in Florence, Ariz., featuring Sugarland, Neal McCoy, Phil Vassar and Jason Michael Carroll.

We're going to sing weird, but we're actually very happy to be here." Making quite clear that she was not a happy camper, Case still channeled her musical energies... »»»
