Luke Bryan gains whiskey, restaurant sponsors
Wednesday, March 26, 2008 – Luke Bryan landed a co-sponsorship for his new single, "Country Man" - Longhorn Steakhouse and Jack Daniels. Bryan will make 24 appearances at Longhorn Steakhouses across the country to meet and sign autographs for the fans as part of the deal.
In June, the Georgia native will host his fan club party at a local Nashville Longhorn Steakhouse during the CMA Music Fest.
"I'm honored Longhorn Steakhouse and Jack Daniels have chosen to be partners with me," said Bryan. "I'd say this is the perfect partnership - great steaks, Tennessee whiskey and an old country boy like me."
Bryan's current single "Country Man" just recently went for adds at country radio. He released his Capitol debut last summer.

Luke Bryan described his hometown of Leesburg, Ga. as "100 miles north of the Florida border, 100 miles east of the Alabama border and in the middle of nowhere."
His 11-song debut has a similarly rural feel to it. Bryan, who co-wrote Billy Currington's number one hit "Good Directions," proves his versatility on an album that combines twangy vocals and fiddles with catchy melodies.

Here it is the top 30 for 2009. This isn't authoritative in case you thought otherwise. It's just one man's opinion about his favorite CDs of the year, which seemed a cut above everything else. It was incredibly hard figuring out a number one CD for the year between the Avett Brothers, Brad Paisley and George Strait. All three were great albums from different perspectives of country and roots music, and at any one time over the past few days, each was my favorite. Come back in a few days, and who knows?
