I've been a freelance roots and bluegrass music writer for the past decade. I originally got started writing for The Gateway, the University of Alberta newspaper. More than 15 years later, I got bit again by the writing bug with a No Depression concert review and soon established the Roots Music column in the Red Deer Advocate newspaper. Until it ceased publication, I regularly wrote reviews for Bluegrass Now.
Currently I write for two websites, The Lonesome Road Review and Country Standard Time. I also maintain a blog with additional reviews and thoughts at fervorcoulee.wordpress.com. I'm proud to be a member of the Polaris Music Prize Jury. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
