Sunday was my traveling day, and a friend drove me to the airport so I didn't have to pay the $25 for a cab ride.
The downside of that was staying in the airport for most of the day. The flight from Nashville to Dallas-Fort Worth was delayed by almost two hours, and I just barely made my connector flight from Dallas to Houston. I made it home, but apparently the one bag that I checked, did not. In fact, it's still somewhere between the airport and my apartment as we speak.
Although I helped hand out CDs, I noticed there weren't as many CDs given out at this festival. That's probably because of the prevalence of online downloads.
There's an old expression about generosity, "he'd give you the shirt right off his back."
Well, folks, I actually did that. After all of our T-Shirts were sold out on Friday, I sold the one I'd been wearing the past two days to a lady who really wanted to buy it after being told the other shirts had all been purchased.
So traveling isn't fun, but it was cool to see Jason Aldean at the Nashville Airport. Unlike folks like Trace Adkins or Alan Jackson, Aldean can blend into a crowd by wearing a baseball cap. I had my picture taken with him, but surprisingly, fans didn't notice him.
