On Wednesday, I was talking to a 21-year-old about country music, and I asked him if he liked old country. He responded, "Like Garth Brooks?" So I said, no, I meant George Jones and Hank Williams Sr.
It seems kind of weird to think that there are folks out there who consider Garth to be vintage country. But with some of the stuff on the radio today, Brooks' songs seem like The Possum's in comparison.
Is there a catchier Red Dirt song than Bleu Edmondson's "50 Dollars and A Flask of Crown?" If so, I'd like to hear it. What are some new songs/albums that y'all like in Country/Red Dirt?
