Yesterday, I competed in a five-kilometer road race in Sacramento, Calif. and finished in 27:13, a two-minute improvement over a similar race in April. Congratulations to my wife, who finished her first marathon in just under five hours.
But one thing about the 5K - I didn't bring my Ipod. And when I work out, I usually rely on music, mostly country, during my daily five-mile runs.
I'm planning on running another race soon, possibly a 10K, and I want to know your suggestions for songs I should put on my setlist. E-mail me to let me know.
I need songs that are going to get my fired up, to stay hungry when my body feels like quitting and a great get-up-and-go song for that last push before the finish line.
